Shugo Chara – magical girl with powers
Tokyo Mew Mew – also magical girl with powers.
La Corda D’oro – a faery gives her the ability to play piano really well in order to enter her school’s classical music contest.
Fruits Basket – a bit of magic cause it’s about the zodiac curse. Also romance and comedy too =)
The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya – really funny! She has powers too…

Special A – incredibly similar situation – one commoner who goes to a rich and prestigious school and has rich friends.
The Wallflower – 4 guys living with one girl.
Skip Beat – really funny and romantic and love triangle too.

fushigi yuugi and magic knights rearth are solely concerned with magic and romanc (very comedic with physical comedy). theyre a good classic.
