This senior management position reports to the Vice President – North Asia.
General Manager (based in Japan)
Role overview
You will be responsible for managing the business unit with full P&L accountability, planning and developing strategic direction to attain business and financial objectives set for the organization.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and manage the Japan operations which include manufacturing, product development, sales & marketing and corporate functions.
Develop, define, align and deliver the KPIs with all the business heads in line with business strategy.
Establish and maintain strong business relationships with key customers.
Develop clear business strategy in alignment with global and regional corporate objectives.
Analyze market situation in Japan and develop business development plan for growth objectives.
Requirements
Possess a Tertiary Degree; an MBA would be an added advantage.
Possess a minimum of 15 years working experience with proven P&L management experience with leading US and/or European multinational industrial component/equipment manufacturers in Japan
Strong hands-on management experience in Japan market and preferably with prior/current experience working in Japan
Possess strong hands-on leadership, with clear strategic vision and excellent team building skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Self motivated and committed.

Business Development Manager, Korea
Reporting to the Director of Industrial Solutions, SEA/NA, you will be responsible to provide complete sales and marketing services to all customers and prospective customers in Korea in accordance with sound business principles and specific sales and marketing policies. You will also be accountable to secure sufficient sales volume to meet or exceed established sales budgets as specified in the profit plan, and accomplish other sales and marketing objectives.
Other key responsibilities include effectively communicating Belden’s policies and programs to the customers; increases the sales volume at select accounts with sales promotions and attendance at trade shows and local shows and by active follow through on referrals; provide product training to the distributors etc.
Requirements:
Bachelor Degree in Engineering or equivalent
Minimum 6 years of experience in industrial sales of terminals, connectors, wires, cables and systems
Good technical knowledge of industrial products, solutions & services
Highly motivated self-starters with a proven record in area/vertical sales
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Fluent in Korean and English
Successful experience in managing channel sales, working with Contractors, System Integrators, Consultants and End-User and technical knowledge of A/V, Networking, Industrial cables & equipments. In dept knowledge of solution selling to corporate customer is also required.
