it works by making sure the audience is standing in the right place.
he puts one foot behind the other. the foot in back he lifts off the ground by standing on his tippytoes with the foot in front. the elevated heel obscures the view of him standing on his toes, and before the viewer can figure it out, he “lowers” himself.
seen it many times. not so sure about the levitation thing but the other stuff he does is pretty neat. who knows. chances are its just another magic trick
