Help With Nightmares Of Magic?
i am a REALLY religious person, and i went to my friends house to borrow some magic kit when i was younger and thought it was cool so i brought it home. and at that same night, i had the ugliest nightmare i ever had. since then i got really careful with magic and stuff like that.
SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME, WHAT IS IT ABOUT MAJIC LIKE CRISS ANGEL AND DAVID BLAINE, THAT IS SO EVIL.

They perform magic tricks, not occultic magick. What they do is for show; it did not give you your nightmares.
If you borrowed the magic kit and then actually tried some of it, instead of working yourself up into a frenzy and having nightmares, you’d know it’s just tricks and illusions. There is nothing evil about those magicians. They just practiced and are able to make things appear differently. And almost all of the people that see their tricks know that they are just that.

Getta grip. If you can’t tell the difference between stage magic and real magick then you shouldn’t be allowed to play with any!
Magic- stage illusions. Meant to freak you out, but is generally harmless.
Magick- tool. Yeah, it can get pretty scary if you have no idea what you’re doing. But as with a screwdriver, you can use it to benefit, (put something together, for instance) or you can use it to harm (killing someone with a screwdriver isn’t that hard.) It all depends on how you use it.

Chris Angel and David Blane’s magick is all smoke and mirrors. Its all an illusion. Same as David Copperfield. None of it is real, therefore it is not evil. Anyone can do the stunts that they do, but I wouldn’t recommend it as they ARE dangerous.
Magic is not evil, it’s those that use it for there own ends that makes it so. The mind is an open void with some people and hypnotic suggestion can be very Strong. On the one hand we believe the GOD made the heavens and the Earth and all the creatures up on it. But as our knowledge grew we see things in a different light. We should not question Gods power or so we are told. But what do we say when we have fact staring us right in the face. do we believe that we came from the SEA or do we believe that we are all descendants of Adam and Eve. now that would take some thinking about and why is it that different races of people were put on different parts of the planet, ie black people AFRICA, red Indian’s USA, Yellow people China, white People Europe. And why are there no Green people or Blue people.very strange don’t you think.

There is nothing wrong with this type of “sleight of hand” magic. It’s not really magic at all.
Real magic can go either way, so you do have to be careful. I am a Christian who practices magic. (Remember, many of the things we accept now were once practiced by soley by witches…..midwivery, herbal medicines, planting by the moon, meditation etc. Other types of magic are still looked at a little suspiciously–divination, dream interpretation, scrying, dowsing, etc.).
Some forms of Christianity, particularly those older churches in Appalachia, have always accepted their “witches” into the fold. There was no sigma attached. Oftentimes they were given the honorary title of “Granny”.

The magic of Criss Angel and David Blane is so unbelievable that it is easy to come to the conclusion that it really is “magic” and not just amazing slight of hand. I too get really freaked out by them. In fact, I don’t watch them any more because of the same evil feeling I get from them! If you are very religious, then you may be familier with stories in the Bible such as when the Israelites were enslaved in Egypt, and their God-appointed leaders, Moses & Aaron command Pharaoh to let their people go. To demonstrate that they had been sent by God, they performed miracles like turning their staffs into serpents. Pharaoh then called in his magicians who in turn also turn their staffs into serpents! But Aaron’s serpents ended winning when they swallowed up the magicians serpents!
This shows that there is supernatural power on both sides (but, thankfully, God’s power is stronger!) so it stands to reason that people like Criss Angel and David Blane may actually be using the power of the devil to perform their magic, in which case, I feel very good about my choice not to watch them!
I recognize there have been times in history when people come to conclusions that evil is being perfomed when it has not been, for example, when “witches” were burned at the stake simply because people misunderstood them, but there is indeed true witchcraft and evil out there that we need to be aware of and wary of. Trust your instict, as the Holy Spirit will give you a sense of which is just good old fashioned fun, and what is something to stay away from.
