Problems With Disney World Tickets At The Gate?
We are going to Disney from December 8th to the 11th. We are not staying on the property (just off of it, in a house).
We will go to Magic Kingdom, Universal Studios (right name?) and Sea World. We have 7 adults and 3 children.
It seems to us that multi-day passes and/or park-hopper passes will not help us. Is that right?
Big issue: should we buy tickets before we arrive. If we do, we will have to decide on which days we will go to each park (right?). If we do not, we will have to buy them at the gate, and this might lead to long waits. Do you think the waits would be long given our dates there?

no the multi day ticket and/or park hopper option would not work for you cuz magic kingdom is the only disney park you are interested in. sea world is a completely different company and universal is a completely different company as well.
you can buy the tickets online before you go or you can buy them once you get there.
NO you don’t have to decide what days to go to what parks the tickets are valid until you decide to use them.
disney doesn’t offer deals on tickets so the price online vs at the gate is the same. BUT universal studios and seaworld both offer a slight discount if you buy them online.
if you buy your tickets at the gate you will have to wait in line but with the dates you are going it wouldn’t be a very long line at all.
what you need is just a one day ticket to disney world, a one day ticket to universal studios, and a one day ticket to seaworld.
**edit**
and unlike “batraylover” said if you buy a disney world multi day ticket they do NOT have to be used consecutively. the tickets do expire 14 days after their first use if you do not get the no expiration option but that does not mean you have to use the days consecutively that simply means you have to use the days on the ticket with in 14 days of first use.
If you are going to spend multiple consecutive days at Disney parks, then you could use multi day passes, but the days have to be consecutive. If you are going to spend a single day at multiple Disney parks, then you will want park hopper passes. If you buy the tickets ahead of time you DO NOT specify a date when you purchase the tickets. The tickets expiration date varies when you buy them, but usually only special tickets have an expiration date of less than a year. I would never go to Disney parks with the intention of buying tickets at the gate as you will always spend a long time in line.
It is my personal opinion that you should buy them online or in a Disney Store. I especially reccomend the Disney Store, since the Cast Members working there can help answer your questions.
But really, Disney Cast Members get people in and out of the ticket lines REALLY fast. You should have no problem.
I suggest you can make phone and ask them this, sometime there are some change for some special things.
I will suggest you to go through the link http://www.officialticketcenter.com
