Why Don’t People Get The Shaq Deal?
Why don’t people seem to get the Shaq deal? I am a huge CAVS fan and love all those guys but even I realize the potential of this deal.
Things I’ve heard…
1. He is retiring- Yes, so what? Wallace is anyway and Sasha was not a key player so you are losing nothing.
2. He isn’t fast in transition and that is key to CAVS- WRONG, He can move if need be but that is besides the point. Have you seen the CAVS play? Big Z isn’t exactly speedy Gonzalez running the floor out there.
3. THey don’t need him- LOL LOL, I love Big Z and Verajou but they failed against The Magic and that is what this is about. They are not letting go Z or Verajou they are just bringing in a center that can win them the Eastern Conference title. I’m sorry but they can’t beat The Magic without a change like this.
4. What about when he retires- You don’t think they have been thinking about this. I am sure they already have plans for when he retires as far as bringing in another dominant force to the table. Remember, Bosh is coming up as a free agent soon. That could be their ticket.
This is all just my outlook on it so you can say what you will. I am just being realistic here. They are not losing anything by bringing in Shaq. It is a good move until they can rework James’ contract next season and make some new moves then.
