Do You Think Street Magicians Use Powerful Magnets For Their Levitation Tricks?

It is a high possibility, for me at least. Since we all know objects that are magnetised can be controlled to attract or repel other magnetised or non-magnetised objects, then why can’t street magicians rig the streets to do tricks like levitation?
It is possible to plant a device with controllable magnetic power and have magicians like David Blaine walk up casually and shock passers-by by ‘levitating’ when in fact, there are devices planted in his shoes which are able to interact with the device planted beneath the sidewalk.
So, this device which is similar to a levitation device in a Maglev train can be controlled to be switched on and off and have its power decreased or increased. So, as you can see – all this makes quite a believable magic trick that will surprise most people.
Of course, I am just speculating but don’t you agree the idea is feasible?

Have Magicians Or ‘magic Tricks’ Ever Been Used In War Or Espionage?

Looking at some of the stuff acheivable by today’s magicians – David Copperfield, Derren Brown, David Blaine etc – and thinking of some of the feats acheived by Houdini, is anyone aware of any such talents being put to use in warfare or espionage?
I know they’re not really doing magic, but the amazing things some magicians can do, and the illusions they can create, would suggest to me they’d have some form of military use, even if simply to confuse the enemy (though standing in front of a hostile army and pulling a rabbit from a hat probably wouldn’t quite be enough). But imagine, for example, a building that troops were approaching to attack suddenly seeming to disappear, or a document given to an agent turning out to be an entirely different document when he’s got it back to base.
Anyone know of any real life incidences or applications of this?

Should I Quit Playing/learning Magic Tricks To Playing Cards?

I just bought a pack of 52 playing cards 3 days before, and I planned on using it as learning magic tricks. I now know many magic tricks, even a long past david blaine trick, and Its pretty cool showing off to my school friends. Sometimes I’d play crazy eights with my little brother at home (age 5, pretty good at it. Beat me 3 times0.o) and my mom noticed that… She said that she doesn’t like to see me playing the cards, because it can promote gambling when I get older. Although I hate gambling, she says if I get older it’ll come. She doesn’t ban me from it, just hates me playing it. I love learning more tricks, but should I quit playing/learning magic tricks with them?

Why Were All Of Jesus’ Supposed Miracles Just Meaningless Parlor Tricks?

Without even considering that there is no evidence for any miracles, and that all of the Gospels were written by people born after the death of Jesus… Why were Jesus’ miracles so flimsy and useless? They seem like David Blaine tricks and not the miracles of a deity coming to save humanity.
For example:
Jesus brought back a child to life… leaving all the other billions of innocents who had died to rot in their graves.
Jesus walked on water… when there was a boat right next to him.
Jesus turned water into wine… further dehydrating the people and encouraging public drunkenness.
Jesus turned a few loaves and fishes into many… feeding only a small group of people around him for that single meal, and ignoring the rest of the starving world. Hunger is a major problem in the world today.
Jesus cured a few lepers… and left us to deal with leprosy. Thankfully, scientists have discovered a cure where Jesus did not.

Is The Street Magic Shows On Tv For Real? No Actors? No Camera Tricks?

On TV, there’s a lot of street magic shows like David Blaine, Mondo Magic, The Mentalist and lots more..I wonder if there are really no actors or camera tricks used by the producers of this shows although they say there are none because no one is gonna sue them if they lied anyway.. If it’s true, is it possible that they use black magic because some of the magic they show are really awesome and i am like cant think of any ways that humans can do them…
