My 4 Year Old Doesn’t Want To Go To Pre-school, He Wants To Be Home With Me…?
He is an only child and was in daycare for 2 years, which I hated! Then, I got to “retire” and stay home with him just after he turned 3. He loves being home, but the other day at the beach he wished on a magic rock “for a friend”. He loves other kids, but he says he “wants to stay home with you mom”. He’s an outgoing, secure child and is very, very boy. I want to go back to work by this fall, but I feel guilty. Any thoughts? Other moms in this predicament?

Year of the Griffin by Diana Wynne Jones is about a school of different beings who learn magic etc, now, it was written before harry potter and is actually really good. My quesiton is if anyone else has noticed how alike they are.
How Can I Help My 5 Year Old Participate In School?
My son goes to a catholic school and does not participate in gym class and does his school work only when he feels like it. I don’t know how to motivate him. His attitude has changed since he started school he is now much more silly… He makes up words and plays roughly with his toys. When he doesn’t do something at home he gets counted (we use 1-2-3 magic) and has to go to time out. Another thing we do is set a timer and give him a limit to do something ie getting dressed he gets 5 min if the timer goes off before he is done he goes to bed 15 min erily. He almost always beets the timer. I don’t know how to motivate him in school though. Thank you
2nd Year In High School. How Can I Make More Friends?
Ok so how do i make more friends? I seem to be really shy now. In middle school i knew mostly everyone, and i wasnt afraid to talk to anyone, now im really shy, and i dont know most of my neighbors in my classes. is it because i barely moved? I moved cities in just before going on to high school. I use to be one of the cool guys in middle school, and i actually enjoyed it. Now im a lozer, i seat with these smart *** “friends” and i dont like it. I hate high school, i know im more then them. Im in high school and in cross country. So how do i get my magic back? How can i go back to making more friends? I hate my current friends, so immature(act like freshmen)

I’m Getting Ready To Follow The Dead On Their Spring Tour This Year, Can You Help A Hippie?
I’ll be following the Dead on tour this Spring and me and my girlfriends will need some safe places we can park the Magic Bus so we can crash after each show. So can you help a hippie? What Do We Get An 8 Year Old Girl For Her Birthday?
She has all of the Polly Pockets and Littlest Pet Shop and doesn’t really play with them. She’s getting a bike from grandpa. She love playing school, but I’m a school teacher and we have decorated her room to look like a school with a bulletin board, chalkboard, word wall, etc. She got bunk beds for xmas and loves them. The only thing she has asked for is the Magic Bullet blender from the infomercial, and we’re not sure we should waste money on something she may use the first time we get it for her.

How Common Is It For A Nine Year Old (3rd Grader) To Have Problems With “phonetics”?
My son is what I would consider an “average” reader but maybe his reading ability is average for his age? He can read books like “Magic Tree House” but not something like the “Harry Potter Series”. Is this typical? I’m considering having the school intervene but am not sure if I am expecting too much.
