What If I Don’t Believe In Jesus? I Believe In God, And Follow Many Of The Beliefs Of Christians, But….

I’m just not sure if I believe in Jesus. It seems so strange to put our love and faith in a man, who thousands of years ago, said he was god’s son… I almost feel bad about it, you know? I mean, it says in the TEN COMMANDMENTS!!! “Thou shall worship no other god”. Seems to me like we ARE worshiping another god. Really, how smart were these people back then that saw/recorded/passed down the miracles of Christ? People like David Blaine and David Copperfield would have been absolute phenoms back in the day, you know?? What’s wrong with me, where do I fit in…. Answers anyone???

thats exactly what we’re saying in Islam. if Jesus was God he wouldnt be worshipping himself. and God has no partners, no sons.

Nothing is wrong with you, and as far as fitting in, I think that is one of the reasons people end up in one faith or another, so they can feel that they have something to believe in, and can share that with a community of other believers. Religion is based on faith, and some of us can’t help but question. Why pretend?

  3. e-Gospel says:

Jesus Christ is the Earthly form of God, so Jesus is God. God sent Jesus to save us, by dying on the cross to pay our sin debt, forever. He rose from the dead 3 days later.
You must have faith in Jesus Christ alone to give you eternal life, and accept Him as your Savior.

Blaine and Copperfield can not raise the dead and heal.Jesus
has been given all authority over the Earth.

why do you ask others to judge you? Just believe as you see fit…

  6. slow_han says:

it says, “thou shall not worship any other God than me”. Jesus and God are one in the same. ;)

Was Jesus merely a prophet whose authority was similar to that of Moses, Buddha, Muhammad, and other religious leaders?
Jesus himself taught that he was the unique Son of God (John 10:36; Matt. 16:15-17), the foretold Messiah (Mark 14:61, 62), that he had a prehuman existence in heaven (John 6:38; 8:23, 58), that he would be put to death and then would be raised to life on the third day and would thereafter return to the heavens. (Matt. 16:21; John 14:2, 3) Were these claims true, and was he thus really different from all other true prophets of God and in sharp contrast to all self-styled religious leaders? The truth of the matter would be evident on the third day from his death. Did God then resurrect him from the dead, thus confirming that Jesus Christ had spoken the truth and was indeed God’s unique Son? (Rom. 1:3, 4) Over 500 witnesses actually saw Jesus alive following his resurrection, and his faithful apostles were eyewitnesses as he began his ascent back to heaven and then disappeared from their view in a cloud. (1 Cor. 15:3-8; Acts 1:2, 3, 9) So thoroughly were they convinced that he had been raised from the dead that many of them risked their lives to tell others about it.—Acts 4:18-33.

  8. Tara says:

There have been many to have claimed to be a son of God, or a God, or the God.
Alexander the Great said he was the Son of Zeus, The Pharaoh of Egypt the Son of Ra, Augustus (who ruled from 27 B.C to 14 A.D.), Claudius (who ruled from 41 to 54 A.D.), as well as many other leaders, were also proclaimed gods.
And then there was Caligula (who ruled from 37 to 41 A.D.), who not only believed he was a god, but actually thought he had a metamorphosis into Zeus and his sister became Hera and he killed his sister by trying to cut the baby out of her womb in the Zeus fashion, fearing a threat to his crown.
Much of what Jesus said was actually similar to the writing of an earlier Jesus. Jesus (Yeshua) was a very common name. This Jesus was the son of Sirach, and grandchild to Jesus of the same name. When elder Jesus died, leaving this book almost perfected, Sirach his son received it and later left it to his own son Jesus. These writings are called Sirach, by Ben Sira, also known as The Wisdom of Jesus son of Sirach, he wrote his work in Jerusalem at some point before 180 BC. So, these sayings were written over 175 years before Jesus was born.
    COMPARISONS OF THE TWO:
    - “ I came forth from the mouth of the Most High, the first-born before all creatures.” (Sirach 24:3)
-This statement is similar to Christ’s being the “first-born of all creation”. (Col 1:15)
    - “As the vine brought I forth pleasant savour, and my flowers are the fruit of honour and riches. (Sirach 24:16)
    - ” I am the true vine, and my Father is the husbandman.” (John 15:1 KJV)
    - At Sirach 24:19 “Come unto me, all ye that be desirous of me, and fill yourselves with my fruits.”
-Which, it has been noted, is similar to Christ’s saying “Come to me” at Mt 11:28.
    - “They that eat me shall yet be hungry, and they that drink me shall yet be thirsty.”(Sirach 24:21)
-Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood, you have no life in you” (John 6:53).
In The Torah God never takes human form. Also no man can look at God and live: “And he said, Thou canst not see MY FACE: for there shall no man see me, and live.” (Ex 33:20

  9. Jeanmari says:

You sound like you are on the road to the truth.
Jesus said, “You believe in my father believe also in me.”
The plan for a Christ was in the works since the fall from sin.
He was prophesied over 300 time in the old test and it was all fulfilled
Sorry this is so long but Jesus fulfilled every single prophecy about him.
